Supervisor, Formulations

Altasciences seeks an experienced Formulations Supervisor to oversee dose formulation and test material management in a contract research organization. The role combines hands-on laboratory work with supervisory responsibilities, including staff mentoring, SOP development, and support for preclinical studies in a growing laboratory facility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily dose formulation and test material management activities supporting preclinical research
• Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for regulatory compliance and operational excellence
• Train and mentor Formulations Research Associates and laboratory staff on protocols and best practices
• Support laboratory setup and expansion through workflow implementation and equipment organization
• Manage test material receipt, inventory, storage, retention, and disposition documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
• 2-3 years of hands-on formulations experience required
• Experience preparing dose formulations and managing test articles in regulated studies
• Training, mentoring, or leadership experience with laboratory personnel
• Working knowledge of GLP regulations and regulated laboratory environments
• CRO environment experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and detail-oriented approach
