There are several contract opportunities available for passionate Special Education Teachers, with multiple positions tailored to varying classroom needs. Openings include three multi-needs units and one dedicated BIP unit, with opportunities to support students across both K-5th and 6-8th grades. Caseload sizes range between 10-16 students, offering manageable, personalized instruction so you can make a real difference.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification appropriate for the assigned grade levels (K-8)
- Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Familiarity with multi-needs and Behavioral Intervention Program (BIP) strategies
- Adaptability to work with diverse student populations and learning abilities
- Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills
- Previous classroom experience in special education highly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct, differentiated instruction to students in either multi-needs or BIP units
- Collaborate with educational teams including general educators, paraeducators, and related service providers
- Utilize a variety of strategies and interventions to promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress and needs
- Maintain documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
