Job Description The Electrical Technician is central to the production facility operations, primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated water treatment equipment and associated electrical systems. A critical part of this role is guaranteeing the correct installation of all electrical components, including motors, sensors, and control systems. Key Characteristics The Electrical Technician operates with limited supervision to execute a range of intricate technical operations within the production environment. The role involves working on various projects, requiring the candidate to assemble, integrate, and troubleshoot complex electrical and control systems. Duties & Responsibilities Perform commercial and industrial electrical work to support facility and mobile water treatment equipment operations, refurbishment, and repair. Perform skilled electrical maintenance, construction and repair of mobile equipment and electrical systems in accordance with appropriate codes. Conduct troubleshooting on PLC, ladder logic and control circuits. Install transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment. Troubleshoot, perform repairs and test a variety of commercial and industrial electrical and associated water treatment equipment. Review and interpret electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics to determine material lists and costs as required. Establish, perform, and document preventative and predictive maintenance. Evaluate processes to make recommendations for improvements. Act as a resource by providing electrical information and recommendations. Prepare and complete reports, forms and other documentation as required. Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Preferred) Technical Skills PLC experience – programming and ladder logic Initiative Problem and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail Communication Skills Verbal and written communication Active listening Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly Computer Skills Proficiency in Google Suite or similar software Safety Awareness Understanding of OSHA regulations and other safety standards Ability to implement and enforce safety procedures Interpersonal Skills Conflict resolution Teamwork and collaboration Education & Experience Required High school degree or equivalent. Electrician Certification. Three years’ experience as an electrician in a manufacturing/production/industrial facility/environment. Preferred At least 3 additional years of manufacturing experience in electrical assembly. A minimum of three years of additional manufacturing experience focused on electrical assembly.
