Essential duties and responsibilities include identifying revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications, programs, and other activities as needed. Prospecting, qualifying, and generating sales within the company's established clientele and partners. Ensuring suspect identification, planning, account qualification, and needs analysis at all prospect levels. Contacting prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Working closely with sales support, management, and business developers to identify and close additional purchases of products and services. Responding to requests from customers for information and giving onsite presentations. Remaining knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments in the B2B sales industries. Keeping management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports. Telephoning prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify, and drive leads through the sales pipeline.

The job is directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and pay decisions, performance management. Job title example(s) of employees directly supervised: Sales Canvasser.

Job qualifications/skill requirements include the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, businesses, and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness and in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Order processing systems and Contact Management systems. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Completes additional tasks and assignments as requested by Regional Sales Director.

Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working conditions include regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required. Travel requirements: Domestic: Up to 20%. Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.

Physical requirements include sitting, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling, standing, climbing, bending/squatting/stooping, stairs, reaching, data entry/typing, and other physical demands or notes as specified.
