Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality, evidence-based primary and family care in Clemson, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in primary care or urgent care and a passion for improving patient outcomes through preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, routine examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.

• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions.

• Provide preventive care, health screenings, and wellness counseling.

• Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and chronic disease management.

• Coordinate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.

• Manage patient follow-ups, appointments, and clinical documentation.

• Perform clinic administrative duties, including opening and closing, inventory management, insurance verification, and payment collection.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-friendly clinical environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program.

• Current national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

• Active state license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse in South Carolina.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care, family medicine, or urgent care is required.

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).

• Strong knowledge of chronic disease management and quality-of-care measures.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical care team.

• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and clinical technology.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licensure if needed.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time position with a variable schedule.

• Alternating weekend coverage, generally three out of every six weekends.

• Possible holiday rotations.

• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.

• Patient-facing, in-person clinical role.

DEA registration may be required during onboarding, depending on the position's requirements. This is a safety-sensitive role and may involve additional screening.
