Emergency Medicine Physician OpportunityPhysician opportunity in Emergency Medicine with a locum tenens position at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City, Louisiana, under SCP Health - Locums. The coverage period is from June 26, 2026, to ongoing, with variable shifts ensuring 24-hour physician coverage.The facility handles an average of 77 patients per day, with a total of 28,000 annual emergency department visits, consistent with Level 3 acuity. The department has 15 ED beds and uses the Epic EMR system. Support staff includes NP/PA coverage for 16 hours daily and nursing staff.Required procedures include sedation (moderate/deep). Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine is necessary, along with an active unrestricted Louisiana medical license, DEA with LA address, LA Controlled Substance, and Supervising Physician License for PA supervision. Certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS are required, as well as residency completion in EM, FM, or IM, and CME for the past two years.Duties include providing direct emergency medical care, supervising NP/PA staff, performing sedation procedures, documenting patient encounters in the Epic EMR, and maintaining facility privileging and compliance.
