Details Inpatient oncology unit with telemetry monitoring Mixed patient population including solid tumor, hematologic malignancy, BMT, and cellular therapy patients Primary diagnoses include leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and various solid tumors, including clinical trial patients Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM per schedule) Every other weekend required Floating required No on-call responsibilities Requirements Active MA RN license required BSN required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required Must be able to administer chemotherapy and start IVs Epic EMR experience required Experience with telemetry, PCA pumps, blood warmers, bladder scans, and Baxter pumps required Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC), OCN, and PALS preferred Additional Information Provide direct care to oncology patients including chemotherapy administration, port access and management, central line care, and infusion pump management Manage oncologic emergencies such as tumor lysis syndrome, extravasation injury, sepsis, and hemorrhage Experience with BMT-related care including CAR-T, stem cell therapies, and graft-versus-host disease management preferred Provide psychosocial support including patient/family education, symptom management, and palliative care as needed Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred First-time travelers are welcome to apply Open to travel pairs American Traveler Job ID P-771878.
