Information Technology Specialist

The Role The IT Specialist will serve as the primary IT resource for Subdued's U.S. business, supporting both our corporate office and retail stores. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring employees have the technology, equipment, and support they need to work efficiently while helping establish IT processes as the company continues to grow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, providing technical support, and building scalable processes in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial retail environment. Key Responsibilities: IT Support Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day IT support across corporate and retail locations. Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, Wi-Fi, email, and general technology issues. Provide timely support to employees both remotely and in-person. Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, iPads, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment. Manage inventory of all IT assets, including tracking equipment, warranties, and replacements. Coordinate the ordering and replacement of technology equipment as needed. User Administration Create and manage employee accounts, passwords, and system access. Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing and recovering company equipment. Assist with Google Workspace administration, including Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, and related applications. Support store technology, including POS systems, payment terminals, printers, and other retail hardware. Assist with technology setup for new store openings. Work with store teams to resolve technology issues quickly and minimize business disruption. Coordinate with external IT vendors, internet providers, and technology partners when additional support is required. Escalate technical issues to HQ or third-party providers when appropriate. Documentation & Process Development Maintain basic documentation for IT equipment, user guides, and internal procedures. Help establish simple, scalable IT processes that support the continued growth of the U.S. business. Ensure company devices remain updated with approved software and security updates. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. 2–4 years of IT support or technical support experience. Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Google Workspace, mobile devices, and basic networking. Retail technology or POS system experience is a must. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working independently while supporting multiple locations.
