Licensed Practical Nurse-Float Nurse - Family Practice Clinic

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Float Nurse, Family Practice (Full Time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm) Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support the Family Practice team. Responsibilities Under the direction of an RN, assist with patient assessment by collecting data for RN analysis. Perform care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Document patient care provided. Assist RN with development of the plan of care. Help patients perform activities of daily living (personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients. Schedule appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. Obtain insurance re‑authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures. Attend clinic meetings. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Report incidents, hazards, drug interactions, and initiate appropriate actions. Complete safety instructional programs. Requirements Graduate of an approved practical nursing program. Current LPN/PN license to practice in Kentucky, in good standing with the Board of Health Professions. Basic CPR (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
