Job Title: Phase I Recovery RN Profession: RN Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 3 years License: RN degree Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Trauma level recovery experience Description: This facility is a 198-bed, level III trauma center, providing healthcare services to the surrounding region. It features state-of-the-art operating suites equipped for various trauma cases. The hospital offers comprehensive medical, surgical, and rehabilitation services. Additional services include a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and advanced imaging and lab testing services. The facility has received numerous accolades, including the PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory accreditation. It is recognized as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Clients in the U.S. and has received the Reputation 800 Award in Healthcare. The location is known for its natural beauty, including rivers, lakes, and national parks, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities. The unit consists of seven beds, with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2. The equipment includes Mindray, and the electronic health record system is Cerner. The patient population is adults with mid to high acuity needs. Float requirements may include assignments to PreOp and/or Endo. Common diagnoses and treatments involve recovery from general surgery, orthopedic procedures, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, ENT, and robotics. The role requires strong communication and patient care skills in a fast-paced environment.
