As a Security Officer Access Control in Patchogue, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Access Control Officer in an educational setting, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and support routine patrols to help deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.90 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points at an educational location, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain visitor entry records in accordance with site procedures. Control entry and exit of authorized individuals, vehicles, and/or deliveries while reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus and Allied Universal reporting procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, buildings, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
