ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide intensive patient care in a critical environment. The nurse will manage high acuity patients, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and carry out specialized procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions in an Intensive Care Unit.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Perform procedures such as arterial line management and central line care.
• Provide emergency care as needed, including interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams for holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in an ICU setting.
• Must have a current NY RN license in hand.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Charge experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
