Radiology Tech Assistant

Assists the Radiologic Technologist with the performance of a variety of technical and clerical duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities 1.Maintains an orderly and clean work environment. 1.1Prepares the diagnostic room with necessary supplies and equipment for the diagnostic procedure. 2.Performs clerical duties as necessary for all diagnostic procedures. 2.1Demonstrates knowledge of basic computer skills. 3.Communicates in a clear and concise manner. 3.1Interacts professionally and effectively with medical staff, patients and families. 4.Assists the technologist with patient care responsibilities. 4.1Transports patients to and from the radiographic procedure room. 5.Performs other related duties as required. 5.1Sends for patient when directed by technologist. Qualifications EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE Customer service experience necessary. Preferred but not necessary some medical knowledge. SPECIAL SKILLS Excellent telephone communications, organizational skills. Ability to read computer screens, forms, and other documents as well as follow written and oral instructions. Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment. PHYSICAL DEMAND Ability to lift 25 pounds #J-18808-Ljbffr
