Time Type: Full time Department: Retail Pharmacy - Gove All Locations: 10 Gove Street - Taylor Building Position Summary: The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing support and assistance to clinical staff in the management of medication ordering and delivery. Schedule: Mon, Tues, Fri 12p-8p, Wed and Thursday, 8a-4p. Does require some flexibility. EDUCATION: High School graduate or GED required LICENSURE: Current valid and unrestricted certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board of the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technician. Current valid and unrestricted pharmacy technician license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy is required. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to work on a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills in English as well as basic reading and math skills. Computer proficiency with an electronic medical record. Commitment to exceptional customer service. Bilingual Spanish Skills high preferred Benefits: Communicates among several individuals, including patients, co-workers, insurance companies and prescribers. As allowable by state law, certified and trained pharmacy technicians can expand on their clinical and managerial responsibilities. Displays outstanding customer service skills when interacting with patients, outside providers, referral sources, or others. Reconstitutes and compounds suspensions Balances quality and efficiency in all tasks, contributing to both patient outcomes and broader team goals Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully through verbal and written skills. Documents in accordance with protocol. Promotes a sense of "teamwork" through demonstration of self-direction and self-motivation. Solves problems independently or knows when to seek consultation. Provides leadership to other support staff on the practice team. Works cooperatively and respectfully with others at all levels of the organization. Displays outstanding customer service skills when interacting with patients, outside providers, referral sources or others. Responsible for continued professional growth and development.
