Registered Nurse (RN)
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) where you will provide high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia. This position requires proficiency in multiple specialties including perioperative, endoscopic, and recovery nursing.
Work Schedule
- 10-hour shifts: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday
- Occasional Fridays when on call
- Daily shift hours may vary by department
- Weekend requirements: Every 5th weekend, holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the PACU, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across perioperative, endoscopy, and recovery departments
- Start and maintain IV lines efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current outpatient PACU experience
- Experience in perioperative care
- Endoscopy experience is required
- Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred
- Experience in small critical access facilities is preferred
- Candidates must have their own vehicle
- Current Vermont RN license or Compact license is required
- Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
