Maintenance Technician - Part Time

Job Description Salary: Starting at $23.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Part Time, Days and Hours vary. Weekends and Holidays may be required. The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager with executing the general operating maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant. They work to maintain proper operations of the community in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner. Responsibilities Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance. Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs following direction. Complete exterior tasks including irrigation, tree and vegetation care, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing. Qualifications Educational Requirements Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent. One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work Experience Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with different levels of technical or professional personnel from outside contractors. Ability to communicate with residents and their families. Working knowledge of systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. Use caution in performing duties and maintain safe working practices.
