Operations Manager
Our client is seeking a strategic Operations Manager to lead a fabrication-focused manufacturing operation. This is a high-impact role overseeing production, quality, and installation coordination—owning the full lifecycle from design through delivery.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations across fabrication, quality, warehouse operations
- Own production planning, scheduling, and execution tied to project-based manufacturing
- Manage Work-in-Progress (WIP) and order backlog to support accurate forecasting and revenue recognition
- Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Leadership
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Build and track KPIs that actually drive performance
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while optimizing labor, materials, and equipment utilization
- Develop team capability and bench strength
Qualifications and requirements:
- 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments
- Background in heavy industrial, oil & gas manufacturing, or fabrication is required
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including CNC machining and blueprint reading
- Proven ability to manage operations tied to project-based production workflows
- Experience reading and managing a P&L, with strong forecasting capability
Preferred (Not Required):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field
- Experience with CAD/CAM and ERP systems
