Key Qualifications:

• Hold valid credentials or certifications in ASL
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
• Empathy and patience in working with students on the Autism spectrum
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Ability to commit to a full-time weekday schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to one 2nd grade student, adapting communication and learning strategies through ASL
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational and behavioral plans
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assist with academic activities, social engagement, and daily living skills as needed
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and support
• Communicate regularly with the educational team and student’s family
