Job Details Clerical Assistant Responsibilities Meeting, greeting, and orienting patients to floor Answering questions from patients and/or family members or redirects to appropriate care team member for response Transcribes orders; prepares pt. chart on admission; ensures that chart is maintained appropriately; dismantles chart upon discharge; prepares diet & census sheets; rewrites medex' once a week; prepares venipuncture list; assists in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed Performs patient and specimen transport duties Assists the care team with the discharge process Answers telephones in a professional manner; distributes mail Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a doctor's office or health care facility Must be computer literate and proficient in word processing. Medical terminology preferred Salary Range USD $26.18 - USD $26.18 /Hr.
