Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The consultant must have a solid combination of functional Financials knowledge and technical development experience using OIC, SQL, PL/SQL, ATP Database, OTBI, BI Publisher, VBCS and Oracle Cloud APIs.

This role will support post-go-live Financials operations, production troubleshooting, month-end close and continuous development of custom integrations, reports and financial solutions. The consultant must understand journals, subledger accounting, GL balances and reconciliation from both functional and technical perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-go-live production support for Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials across GL, AP and AR.

• Work directly with Finance, Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable users to resolve daily production issues.

• Support AP invoice entry, invoice validation, accounting, approval, payment processing and payment reconciliation.

• Troubleshoot AP invoice holds, accounting errors, payment failures, supplier issues and invoice-import exceptions.

• Support AP check printing, payment-file generation, positive-pay files and payment-document formatting.

• Develop and troubleshoot integrations between Oracle Payables and banking partners for payments, acknowledgments, positive-pay files and bank statements.

• Support inbound AP invoice integrations from procurement platforms, suppliers and other external applications.

• Develop and troubleshoot inbound and outbound AR invoice, customer, receipt and transaction integrations.

• Support GL journal creation, journal import, validation, posting and reconciliation.

• Troubleshoot GL journal import failures, invalid account combinations, unbalanced journals, suspense postings and accounting-period issues.

• Possess a strong understanding of journal sources, journal categories, ledger configuration, accounting calendars and chart-of-accounts structures.

• Analyze GL balances, account activity, trial balances and discrepancies between subledgers and General Ledger.

• Support month-end close activities across AP, AR and GL, including period-close validations and reconciliation.

• Assist users with closing subledger accounting periods and resolving incomplete or unaccounted transactions.

• Troubleshoot Subledger Accounting issues involving accounting events, journal entries, transfer to GL and journal posting.

• Perform reconciliation between AP, AR, bank transactions, Subledger Accounting and General Ledger balances.

• Prepare ad hoc SQL queries and BI Publisher reports to support month-end close and financial reconciliation.

• Design, develop, test and support OIC integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, file processing, scheduled orchestration and fault handling.

• Develop PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions and validation APIs within Oracle ATP Database.

• Use ATP Database as a staging and validation platform for inbound AP invoices, AR transactions, receipts and GL journals.

• Develop data-validation rules to identify invalid suppliers, customers, account combinations, invoice distributions and journal records before submission to Oracle Fusion Cloud.

• Build and support integrations using FBDI, Oracle ERP Cloud Adapter, REST APIs and SOAP web services.

• Develop OTBI analyses, BI Publisher reports, financial dashboards and operational exception reports.

• Develop or enhance VBCS pages and custom user interfaces integrated with Oracle Financials and OIC.

• Create technical and functional specifications, integration mappings, process flows, test scripts and production-support documentation.

• Participate in SIT, UAT, regression testing, deployment and production validation.

• Review Oracle quarterly updates and perform pre-patch and post-patch testing for Financials integrations and custom solutions.

• Work with Oracle Support to troubleshoot product issues and implement recommended patches or workarounds.

• Provide on-call support during critical payment runs and month-end close when required.

25. Strong troubleshooting skills across OIC integrations, FBDI loads, APIs, reports and Oracle Financials transactions.

26. Ability to communicate directly with Finance and Accounting users and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

27. Must be available to work onsite in New York four days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing AP invoice, AR transaction and GL journal integrations.

• Experience supporting high-volume invoice and payment-processing environments.

• Experience with bank statement, lockbox, positive-pay and payment-file integrations.

• Experience developing custom financial applications using VBCS and ATP.

• Experience supporting month-end and year-end close in a production environment.

Oracle Cloud Financials or OIC certification is preferred.

Important: Candidates must possess strong experience in both Oracle Financials functionality and hands-on technical development. Candidates with experience in only one area will not be suitable. This is an onsite role requiring four days per week in New York.
