Scientist - II (Associate)

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Associate Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in San Diego, CA, 92101 . Details of the position are as follows. Job Description Pay: $48.00- $56.66/hr to start!. 1 year contract with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance. Position will mainly be responsible for expressing and purifying therapeutic proteins and critical protein reagents to support biologics discovery programs, while testing and characterizing protein quality using biophysical techniques. Responsibilities also include maintaining mammalian cell lines in culture to support protein expression, purification, and characterization activities, while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to laboratory procedures. Position will also be responsible for supporting biologics inventory management, coordinating material transfer requests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient laboratory operations and project support. Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree is required. Industry experience culturing mammalian cells for protein expression is required.
