They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment and management of health-illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program. (New graduates may be considered with prior experience in pediatrics and/or NICU)Desired: Bilingual in Spanish Acute care pediatric and or NICU experience Experience with intubation and placing emergency umbilical linesLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the California Board of Registered Nursing Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing (within 3 months of hire) Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (within 3 months of hire) Meets Centers for Medical & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance Office NRP recognition within 6 months of hire PALS recognition within 6 months of hireDesired: National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a PNP (Pediatric) specialty Enloe offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to all eligible employees, including medical, vision, RX and dental group insurance, retirement with employer match, paid time off (PTO), and an employee assistance program.
