Job Requisition: CTTEC001109 Employment Type: Per Diem Shift: Rotating Hours Per Week: As scheduled

Hiring Range: $33.60-$44.94 The posted pay range contains shift differentials. Eligible for additional compensation based on the shifts worked.

• Weekday evening shift - additional 10% plus $2.00 per hour
• Weekday night shift - an additional 15% plus $3.00 per hour
• Weekend day shift an additional 10%
• Weekend evening & night shifts an additional 21%

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.

Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.

Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Complexity of Work

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications Licensure / Certification / Registration

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience

Required Credential(s):

BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the New York Department of Health obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Starting January 1, 2018, Registered by ARRT as both R.T. (R) (CT). The technologist has 6 months to obtain the (CT) credential. During this time, they must be working with a technologist registered as an RT (R) (CT). A technologist may not start training as a CT technologist until the RT (R) has been achieved. Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
