Job Description The USF St Petersburg campus Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) empowers students to navigate their distinctive professional identity by integrating career development into their educational journey. CCPD partners with campus and community stakeholders to provide innovative, agile services that equip students with the skills, confidence, and experiences needed to succeed. Responsibilities Serve as Employer Relations Coordinator to create industry‑to‑campus connections by developing partnerships with employers. Serve as a Career Coach (Counselor) to students and recent alumni, offering career consultations on major exploration, career development and planning, job and internship search, and interview preparation. Liaise with academic programs to develop internships and employment opportunities. Coordinate career programs for students and other career events involving employers such as career fairs, expos, information sessions, panel discussions, on‑campus recruiting, mock interviews, and resume critiques. Maintain services database and develop reports on service usage. Provide student vocational and career counseling, including assessments, goal setting, job search coaching, graduate school support, and referrals to mental health, disability services, and other necessary resources. Develop and enhance Career Services programs and online services, social media presence, and marketing of services. Build and maintain partnerships with external constituents, identify and recruit employers aligned with USF majors, and oversee the Handshake database. Develop and conduct outcome assessment surveys, monitor student satisfaction data, and analyze career services impact. Interpret and enforce office, university, state, and federal policies regarding student services and recruitment, ensuring equal opportunity, affirmative action and ADA compliance. Develop strategic employer and student outreach and marketing plans, execute social media calendars, and supervise student marketing interns. Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and supervising Career Peer Advisors and Student Staff as needed. Perform office administration and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master's degree in Career Counseling, Career Education, College Student Affairs, MBA, or equivalent; or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of directly related experience. Certification from a professional organization such as the National Career Development Association, the National Association of Colleges and Employers, or the National Board of Certified Counselors is preferred or required for specific positions. Experience in career services, employer relations, recruiting, internship program advisement, or college student affairs. Proficiency with tools such as Focus2 Assessments, Clifton Strengths, Handshake, Big Interview, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Planner, Forms, Canva, and Canvas LMS.
