Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Schedule: Day Shift - 8 hrs - M-F

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent.
• Completion of a registered nurse degree program required.
• Minimum of 3 years full-time professional nursing experience with medical-surgical patients.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Board certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing.
• Meets the American Heart Association's standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide consultation to staff and patients on skin prevention, wound care, ostomy needs, and continence management.
• Function as a team member and act as a liaison between patients and staff.
• Use effective communication skills including verbal, non-verbal, and written communication in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence and maintain composure when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Utilize tact, sensitivity, and sound judgment in all professional interactions.
