Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x10-hour shifts | Variable start times (typically 0700–1730, with possible starts as early as 0630 or as late as 0900 depending on cases) | 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate surgical cases across a 3-OR and 1-endoscopy room unit covering ortho, general, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, and podiatry procedures
• Float between pre-op, PACU, endoscopy, and circulating roles as needed
• Provide on-call coverage 1–2 times per week from end of shift through 0700 the following day, including occasional weekend call (Friday through Monday 0700)
• Manage patients from surgical admission through unit discharge when on call
• Document patient care using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in holiday call as required (no scheduled holiday shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (ARC or AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience with strong circulating skills
• Pre/post-op experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PACU experience preferred
• Experience with ortho cases including total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, ORIFs, and hip fractures
• Experience with general surgery cases such as laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, EGD/colonoscopy, and lumpectomy
• Adaptable, resilient, and able to manage change in a fast-paced surgical environment
