What will I do as the Director of Nursing?

The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care in maintained. Consistently model and demonstrate excellence in customer service, with a constant focus on person-centered care/service delivery.

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the nursing department
• Lead clinical quality, QAPI, and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional standards
• Partner with physicians, the interdisciplinary team, residents, and families
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, orientation, education, and performance development
• Coordinate resident care planning and promote individualized care
• Participate in surveys and lead corrective-action efforts
• Address resident concerns, grievances, and quality-of-care issues
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader for residents and staff

Qualifications:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Active CPR required
• Two-years' Long-Term Care or Rehab experience as a Director of Nursing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
