Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Location: Salem, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for caring for post-operative patients, including maintaining drains, performing wound care, and adhering to the highest patient care standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for post-operative patients.
• Maintain and monitor surgical drains.
• Administer wound care as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Advocate for patients and support their needs effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with post-operative patients is preferred.
• Competence in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management is highly desirable.
