Surgical Associate- Full Time, Days

Surgical Associate – Surgery Department Work location: Texas Health Southlake, 1545 E Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092 Work hours: Full Time, 40 Hours a week. Days Monday through Friday 6:30am-3:00pm Surgery Department Highlights Surgical specialty hospital with six operating rooms - ortho, ortho spine, general, GYN, plastics, ENT, podiatry, Xi robot cases. Great work environment, positive culture, and teamwork. New and advanced equipment and technology. Here’s What You Need H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required. Previous patient care experience is preferred. 1 year of Surgical Associate experience is strongly preferred. BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required. Read, write and speak English; Able to stand/walk for majority of hours of their work shift; Easily move heavy equipment & supplies (up to 250 lbs on wheels) without endangering themselves or others. What You Will Do Completes routine stocking chores. Ensures two arm boards and safety strap available for case. Stocks and replaces suction liners. Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites. Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery. Follows directions of circulating nurse in obtaining equipment, instruments and supplies as requested.
