LHH is recruiting for a Staff Accountant position for a service company in the Lewisville, TX area. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2+ years of experience to join a growing organization with a strong culture and excellent benefits.
*The salary range for this position is 75k-80K base + bonus and is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)*
Responsibilities include:
- Manage fixed assets ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Administer capitalization, depreciation, retirements, and transfers of fixed assets.
- Perform reconciliations of fixed asset accounts
- Adhere to GAAP and applicable regulations in fixed asset reporting.
- Support operations to track construction-in-progress and facilitate timely capitalization.
- Provide necessary reports and schedules to support internal and external audits.
- Proactively identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to address them.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience, preferably with fixed assets
- Understanding of GAAP
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
