Travel Nursing Role In Emergency Department

This travel nursing role places an experienced Emergency Department RN in Ozark, Alabama for a 13-week assignment. The RN will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position offers competitive weekly pay up to $2,160 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring based on patient acuity
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to emergent situations
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per physician orders and protocols
  • Initiate and assist with emergency interventions, procedures, and treatments
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, and other team members
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Prioritize care effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
  • Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide professional, patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical and emergency conditions
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication, adaptability, and teamwork throughout the assignment

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Alabama
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Current CEN or TNCC certification
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Skills:

  • 12 months of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
  • Experience caring for patients across a broad range of acuity levels strongly preferred
  • Previous travel or contract nursing experience preferred but not required
