Junior Business Analyst

Trinity Capital Inc. (Nasdaq: TRIN) is an international alternative asset manager that seeks to deliver consistent returns for investors through access to private credit markets. We are looking for an experienced professional to join our world‑class team as a Junior Business Analyst in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description The Junior Business Analyst role is a 12‑month training program which provides candidates a unique opportunity to learn how to evaluate the credit of venture‑backed companies. The role of a junior business analyst will encompass the credit review and evaluation of dozens of prospective client companies as well as providing key support to closing these multi‑million‑dollar opportunities. A successful candidate will have familiarity with and general understanding of the various aspects of business operations and financial statements and have a strong work ethic with a positive attitude. Following successful completion of this 12‑month program, Analysts can remain with the Credit team, or explore other opportunities within Trinity, such as Portfolio Management, Originations, or Finance. Duties and Responsibilities Interface closely with Trinity Capital’s Originations team to obtain the materials necessary to commence the due diligence process for prospective portfolio companies. Collect and review submitted information from prospective portfolio companies and work with Originations team to address any gaps or deficiencies in provided information. Prepare initial rating sheet for prospective client companies. Evaluate and summarize financial data and any underlying trends from prospective portfolio companies and present summary analysis to the Credit team. Take detailed notes across a variety of client interactions, including management team, investor, customer, and senior bank calls. Train new analyst team members on due diligence process and best practices. Requirements Proficient with Microsoft Excel Deep familiarity with financial reports: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline Trinity is an equal opportunity employer.
