This travel role is ideal for those with a strong background in emergency care, combining pediatric and adult patient experience. The role involves working in a high-paced environment with a variety of patient diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Provide care for newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Administer and monitor required drips and medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, and anticoagulants
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Assess and manage common emergency diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse

• Valid New York RN License verified through NURSYS
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Minimum of 2 years' ED experience with pediatric capabilities and travel experience
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems
• Capability to take charge and float as needed
