Job Description: Montessori Toddler Classroom Assistant Élan Vital Montessori School | Baton Rouge, LA Pay: $14–$16 per hour Élan Vital Montessori School is seeking a caring, dependable Classroom Assistant to join our Toddler community, serving children approximately 1–3 years old. A Montessori toddler classroom is a calm, thoughtfully prepared environment where young children build independence through hands‑on learning, purposeful movement, language, practical life activities, and respectful guidance. This hourly position works alongside and under the guidance of a certified Montessori Toddler Teacher. We provide and pay for an eight‑week online Montessori training course, which includes an overview of Montessori philosophy and the toddler environment. The course requires approximately two hours of work per day and must be completed as part of employment. The ideal candidate is patient, nurturing, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with young children. Consistent, reliable attendance is especially important in our toddler classrooms—our children thrive when they can depend on familiar, caring adults each day. PTO is available after 30 days of consistent and reliable employment. Pay range: $14–$16 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
