Vice President of Field Operations

Top 10 ENR National General Contractor looking to identify a Vice President of Field Operations who will lead field execution across a major hyperscale data center program.

This is a national travel role with responsibility for overseeing the entire field operation, driving execution across large-scale mission-critical projects, and leading senior field leadership teams from mobilization through commissioning and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead overall field operations for hyperscale data center construction
• Manage and develop General Superintendents, Senior Superintendents, MEP leadership, and field teams
• Own field execution across safety, schedule, quality, logistics, manpower, and production
• Partner closely with project executives, operations leadership, preconstruction, and clients
• Drive accountability across subcontractors and trade partners
• Oversee complex MEP installation, commissioning, turnover, and phased delivery
• Establish field standards and best practices across multiple projects
• Support staffing, succession planning, and growth of the mission-critical division
• Serve as a senior field representative with hyperscale clients and executive leadership

Ideal Background:

• 20+ years of commercial construction experience
• Significant hyperscale data center / mission-critical construction experience required
• Proven experience leading large field teams and managing senior field leadership
• Strong understanding of hyperscale construction, MEP systems, commissioning, and turnover
• Experience delivering large-scale data center projects valued in the hundreds of millions or billions
• Background with a nationally recognized General Contractor
• Ability and willingness to travel nationally
