Eldora Mountain Retail Team Position

Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado's Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors. Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

This position is part of the Retail team for Eldora. Delivering retail stock and dispersing among the Eldora Retail shops is a big part of keeping retail business thriving. This position entails the pickup and drop off shipments to all back stock and warehouse locations, fulfilling daily store restocks and working with the retail management team to complete monthly inventory tasks.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

• Flexibility working on sales floor with retail sales team.
• Working with retail sales associates to reach sales goals during times of high volume business.
• Answer the phone as if the guest was in person, take detailed notes of the inquiry, help the guest or find a supervisor that can.
• Attend and follow weekly safety meetings, engage and interact as a team.
• Must have clean driving record and provide a valid driver's license since our warehouse is located off site.
• Performs inventory activities, such as store fulfilment, performing regular stock take, the transfer of merchandise to and from each location and oversees the receiving process of shipments.
• Practices safety by upholding meetings met for warehouse staff and wears employee personal protective equipment.
• Ensures organization of all back stock areas.
• Performs streamlined processes of cycle counts at each location, as well as daily re-stock.
• Maintains effective merchandising techniques throughout store locations by using creativity to captivate consumers.
• Reports to and communicates effectively with retail management on inventory needs and tasks.
• Fulfills E-commerce orders and curbside pick up.
• Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe working environment for self, coworkers, and guests.
• All employees are expected to support Eldora's corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment by participating in our Sustainable Transportation Program. This includes choosing alternative transportation, carpooling, using the employee shuttle, and avoiding onsite parking on weekends and peak days. These actions help reduce Scope 3 emissions, lead by example, and ensure adequate parking for our guests.

Specific Job Skills:

• Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word and POS system.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Inventory experience preferred.
• General knowledge of the outdoor industry and associated products.

Physical Demands:

• Bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, pulling & prolonged standing.
• Eye/hand coordination & visual concentration on equipment.
• Concentrated reading and writing.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 35 lbs.
• Variation in temperature from hot to cold.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $18 + actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
• Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available. Additionally, this position accumulates sick time.
