Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Systems Analyst

Scope of Position The Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Systems Analyst serves as an internal consultant supporting and driving implementation of the revenue cycle improvement initiative using a structured industry approved approach. This position is supportive of all revenue cycle process improvement strategic initiatives. Position Summary The Revenue Cycle Process Improvement Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing and resolving issues with accounts involving authorization, billing, and compliance. The analyst works with various departments to identify and resolve problems before billing or after denial, provides high‑level review of medical necessity and authorization denials, determines root causes, analyzes data to identify trends, performs comparisons against standards, and assists in formulating plans to appeal denials. The role writes and submits appeals for administrative authorization denials, develops tools to track issues, analyzes workflows, identifies logistical and operational improvement targets, and oversees interdepartmental communication and process improvement throughout the revenue cycle. The analyst trains onboarding peers and applies industry knowledge to systems such as Midas and EPIC modules (Cadence, ADT, Ambulatory, Resolute). Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (advanced degree desirable). 4 years of relevant experience required; 4‑8 years preferred. Deep understanding of payer authorization requirements and revenue cycle systems. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
