Mechanic Position at New Berlin Hills Golf Club

New Berlin Hills Golf Club, located in New Berlin, WI, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Mechanic! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type: Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less) Pay: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts an effective preventive maintenance program in conjunction with operators to reduce mechanical failure and poor performance on all golf course equipment.
• Repairs all equipment and golf carts.
• Keeps repair and maintenance records on all equipment.
• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical problems for all maintenance equipment.
• Sets heights and sharpens blades on the cutting units.
• Makes cuts, welds, and brazes as needed in repairing equipment and mowing units.
• Conducts price comparisons on all related parts and materials before ordering.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and efficient shop area.
• Maintains an adequate supply of parts through requisitions to the Purchasing Manager.
• Monitors gas and fuel levels in storage tanks.
• Ensures proper disposal of all related hazardous materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have prior mechanical experience, including experience with small engines and mowers.
• Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and a self-starter.

Knowledge/Skill:

• Knowledge of small engine repair.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Ability to inspect equipment and related components.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Certificates/Licenses:

• Valid driver's license required.

Environment/Noise:

• Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions, including warm, cold, wet, and dry.
