Job Overview

The Interventional Cardiologist position is available within our organization at the VA St. Louis MO Health Care System, specifically in the Medical Service. This role involves delivering comprehensive, efficient, and compassionate healthcare to all patients, while collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient environments. The primary duties include diagnosing and treating various heart and vascular conditions through cardiac catheterization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of procedures such as balloon angioplasty, stent placement, heart valve repairs, and the insertion of pacemakers and defibrillators.
  • Conduct medical evaluations and oversee the overall management of patients in partnership with other healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and educate Internal Medicine Residents and medical students affiliated with our organization.

Compensation and Benefits

Work Schedule

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
