Job Title

Vascular Sonographer

Contract | Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00–17:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vascular sonography procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards of care
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic-quality vascular images
• Document and record findings accurately within the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage (every 4th weekend)
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census demands, performing only tasks within demonstrated and documented competencies
• Complete required orientation and annual compliance modules prior to and during assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Vascular Sonography certification is required — candidates with Echo-only certification will not be considered
• Dual certification in Vascular and Echo is preferred; however, Vascular certification alone is acceptable
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Must live more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible — note that Echo Techs fall under a separate radius rule requiring 50+ miles from the relevant flagship hospital
• No on-call requirements for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Dual certification in both Vascular and Echocardiography
• Experience working in a high-volume radiology or cardiology department
• Familiarity with travel assignment compliance processes and pre-assignment module completion
