Instructor - Medicine - Gastroenterology and Hepatology Home Explore Careers Benefits Job Seeker Resources Connect With Us Log In Job Description Apply now Job Title: Instructor - Medicine - Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division: Medicine Work Arrangement: Location: Houston, TX Salary Range: FLSA Status: Exempt Work Schedule: Summary A clinical instructor position is available immediately in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine. This role is based at Baylor St Lukes Medical Center campus in Houston, Texas, and is focused on advancing clinical expertise in Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) over a 12 month period. The instructor will independently perform all procedures pertaining to standard interventional endoscopy (EGD, COLO, ERCP, EUS) while actively participating in the procedural training of ESD, supporting the division’s commitment to high-quality, minimally invasive care for patients with gastrointestinal lesions. By the end of the 12 months, we expect the clinical instructor to become competent in ESD, POEM, and Full Thickness Resection. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, patient-centered care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance procedural outcomes and patient experience. Job Duties Independently perform EGD,COLO, ERCP, EUS to help support the growing advanced endoscopy practice Assist in performing ESD procedures under expert supervision. Hands on participation in ESD/POEM cases under direct expert supervision Participate in clinical case reviews, patient consultations, and post-procedural care. Engage in educational activities in the section. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical documentation. Support the development of clinical protocols and best practices in advanced endoscopy. Minimum Qualifications Education:MD or equivalent with training in gastroenterology. Post terminal degree education: residency or fellowship training in gastroenterology AND Interventional Endoscopy Certifications/Registrations/Licensure: Active Texas medical license and board certification We will not be able to support Visas The candidates should have excellent communication skills, be highly self-motivated and work well in a team.
