1st shift Saturday-Monday 6:30a-7pDuties:

Job Summary:
With limited supervision, executes computed tomography images. Gathers histories and prepares needed information to complete the patient’s record. Notifies appropriate people for equipment services and preventive maintenance. Order and stock supplies.

Job Responsibilities:
--45% Perform CT including related procedures:
-Perform various CT scans using specified protocols.
-Performs venipuncture.
-Perform reconstruction of scan information ie. ROI, measure distance, to enable Radiologists to obtain further data.
-Produces quality images for Radiologist’s review.
-Prepares accurate records.
-Manipulates computerized image data to obtain interpretive information and archiving.
-Administers contrast media under the direction of a physician and in accordance with department policy.
-Follows department protocol for all exams.
-Continuously monitors the patient through exam.
-Uses radiation protection for patient and self.
-Assists Radiologist with exam when necessary.
--25% Obtain patient history, explain exam protocols and document:
-Verifies patient name, DOB, and ID number.
-Verifies orders in chart.
-Demonstrates ability to communicate with patients, doctors, and other associates to obtain patient history and explain exam procedures.
-Effectively uses the electronic medical record and PACS and associated imaging. 
-Completes studies in electronic medical record.
--20% Quality Control :
-Must be able to complete QC on equipment.
-Completes QC for assigned rooms.
-Orders and restocks supplies and linens.
-Reports all equipment malfunctions to the proper personnel.
--10% Preparing and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities:
-Maintains records of order, including receipt and disposal of all radioactive material in the Department.
