Job Summary Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Overview Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) | Big Spring, TX | Up to $2,802/Week | 13-Week Contract Location: Big Spring, TX Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Start Date: 07/27/2026 Shift: Days | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) Schedule: 40 Hours/Week + On-Call Rotation Compensation Weekly Gross Pay:$2,802.00 Weekly Taxable Pay: $1,528.00 Weekly Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,274.00 Hourly Taxable Rate (First 40 Hours): $38.20/hr Overtime Rate (After 40 Hours): $57.30/hr We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with strong circulating experience to join a collaborative surgical team. This assignment offers a consistent day schedule with rotating call responsibilities and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced perioperative environment. Please Note: Travelers are required to report to a nearby affiliated location for their first day of orientation before beginning their assignment. Responsibilities Provide circulating nursing care during surgical procedures. Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments. Perform patient assessments before, during, and after surgery. Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards. Assist the surgical team with patient positioning and safety. Document patient care using Epic EMR. Respond to emergency surgical cases and participate in on-call coverage. Surgical Experience Preferred General Surgery Appendectomy Cholecystectomy Laparoscopic Procedures Colon Resection (Preferred) Hernia Repair (Preferred) Endoscopy (EGD & Colonoscopy) Cystoscopy Emergency C-Sections Da Vinci Xi Robotics (Preferred) Requirements Active Texas RN License (Required at Submission) Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience Prior circulating OR experience required Previous travel experience strongly preferred Current BLS Certification ACLS Preferred PALS Preferred Experience with Epic EMR Ability to take rotating on-call assignments Schedule & Call Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM 4 x 10-hour schedule (5 x 8s may also be considered) Rotating call shared between two RNs Every other weekend call required Additional Information 40 hours of orientation 1:1 patient ratio Four operating rooms Works with adolescent, adult, and pediatric patients COVID-19 and Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Candidates must live outside the 110-mile local radius License, BLS, and required compliance documents must be submitted with the application #J-18808-Ljbffr
