We are actively hiring Compounder/Extrusion Operators to join our team at our Grand Rapids plant. Americhem is one of the world's largest manufacturers of custom color concentrates. Our production operators specialize in setting up, operating, and tending compounding mixing/extruding machines to process a variety of products that our customers use to manufacture a vast array of finished products. Produce compound samples according to specifications by using production equipment, devices, and instruments (extruders, scales, feeders, classifiers, pelletizers, dies, visual display units, dials, and calibrators). Keeps machinery and mechanical equipment operational by performing preventative maintenance tasks on machine and equipment. The Operator adds color mix to the feeder by using a tow motor/forklift to lift the color pot up to the platform and setting it in the proper slot. Success from the inside out.... that's Americhem!
