ASCP Certified Cath Lab Technologist

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the regional medical community of the Southern United States as a skilled Cath Lab Technologist. This role involves close collaboration with patients, physicians, and fellow healthcare professionals, ensuring a compassionate and professional environment guided by core ethical principles.

• Operate specialized radiographic equipment for angiographic imaging, applying advanced techniques and accessories to achieve superior image quality.
• Manage post-processing of images with precision and attention to detail.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols when handling radiation-producing devices.
• Prepare patients thoroughly for radiologic procedures, ensuring all necessary documentation such as patient consent and history & physicals are completed before procedures begin.
• Assist physicians during procedures, including pre-procedural care, sterile scrub duties, and post-procedural patient care.
• Set up sterile trays and maintain sterile technique during diagnostic procedures.
• Cross-train in hemodynamic monitoring to support comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe work environment, performing equipment checks and tests prior to use.
• Follow universal precautions and promote compliance among staff and physicians.
• Ensure accurate billing for procedures and supplies, promptly reporting any discrepancies to leadership.
• Utilize downtime effectively by assisting in other departments as needed to support organizational goals.

• Certification as a Cath Lab Technologist, preferably ASCP or equivalent.
• Experience working in a high-pressure, multidisciplinary clinical environment.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment and angiographic procedures.

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
