Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; first timers accepted License: Valid state or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Circulate and scrub experience required - Experience with an adult to geriatric patient population Description: The position is for a registered nurse in the operating room. The candidate will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing in surgeries. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Experience in a variety of surgical specialties such as general, neuro, spine, ortho, robotics, urology, vascular, and colorectal is essential. The unit operates 16 rooms with an average daily census of 35. Main responsibilities include patient care and ensuring adherence to surgical protocols. The nurse will utilize systems such as Epic and Pyxis. Call requirements include average 6-7 calls during a 6-week period. The nurse will also be expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. This role may involve some floating within the facility/scope of practice as needed.
