No experience is required - just an ambitious attitude! We provide all the training you will need to excel as a Youth Counselor. What You’ll Do: Supervise and mentor youth in a residential setting. Maintain safety and order using approved crisis-prevention and physical intervention techniques when necessary. Participate in de-escalation, restraint, and emergency response procedures as trained and required. Work collaboratively with other staff to provide consistent structure and support. Physical and Safety Requirements: Because this role involves working with older and sometimes physically aggressive youth, candidates must be able to: Safely perform physical interventions and restraints with individuals who may weigh 200+ pounds, using approved techniques. Stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the shift. Successfully complete and maintain certification in Adelphoi's crisis intervention / restraint training and pass any required physical abilities assessment .
