Construction Inspector

Position Overview At HDR, you will be a Civil Construction Inspector supporting the Transportation Business Group in Minnesota. In this role you will conduct, document and monitor construction progress on civil infrastructure projects, coordinate field sampling, and report findings. Key Responsibilities Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, water/wastewater facilities, pump stations and pipelines. Monitor, record and inspect progress on construction projects. Coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing. Receive supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress. Perform other duties as needed. Subject to pre‑employment drug test. Preferred Qualifications MnDOT Certifications. Experience in construction inspection. Ability to interpret construction schedules. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to HDR employee‑owned culture.
