Descripción del Puesto

Como Ayudante General de Construcción, desempeñarás un papel fundamental en el proceso de construcción, participando en diversas actividades relacionadas con muros, techos, tablaroca (drywall), acabado de textura y control de calidad. Tu trabajo contribuirá directamente a la fabricación y terminación de unidades residenciales de alta calidad.

Responsabilidades

• Construir muros interiores y exteriores e instalar aislamiento cuando sea necesario.
• Pegar y engrapar paneles de drywall; levantarlos de la mesa de trabajo e instalarlos en pisos y paredes.
• Instalar gabinetes y conectar los sistemas de plomería correspondientes.
• Cortar y ensamblar cerchas para techos, acomodar paneles de drywall en mesas de trabajo y cargar vigas.
• Sellar las cerchas con drywall y levantarlas con una grúa hasta la ubicación correspondiente.
• Aplicar compuesto en juntas, instalar barreras de vapor, levantar techos y colocarlos sobre la cubierta del techo junto con el papel para techado.
• Instalar ventanas, puertas y realizar acabados en aperturas, esquinas, plafones y fascias.
• Instalar tejas y ventilaciones en techos, así como pintar el exterior de las viviendas.
• Encintar y aplicar compuesto en esquinas y juntas, además de proteger gabinetes y electrodomésticos con plástico.
• Aplicar textura en muros, pintar interiores y realizar labores generales de limpieza.
• Inspeccionar las viviendas durante todas las fases de construcción para garantizar la calidad.
• Supervisar los procesos de calidad e inspeccionar las viviendas al finalizar la construcción.
• Cargar materiales necesarios para la producción y completar toda la documentación requerida.
• Medir el ancho y la altura de las unidades y asegurar que todas las etiquetas correspondientes estén colocadas correctamente.

Habilidades Esenciales

• Experiencia en el uso de herramientas manuales y eléctricas de construcción.
• Conocimientos en carpintería, drywall, concreto, pintura y acabados.
• Capacidad para utilizar una cinta métrica de manera precisa y eficiente.
• Experiencia en techado, aplicación de textura y acabado de juntas (mudding).

Calificaciones Preferidas

• Se prefieren candidatos bilingües (español e inglés).
• Es obligatorio tener experiencia utilizando cinta métrica; esta habilidad será evaluada durante el proceso de selección.
• Familiaridad con paneles de pared y herramientas para aplicación de cinta (tape gun).
• Experiencia previa en construcción, carpintería, drywall, techado o manufactura es una ventaja.

Ambiente de Trabajo

La instalación actual de manufactura está completamente techada, pero puede ser polvorienta, sucia y calurosa. Sin embargo, está programado el traslado a una nueva planta de manufactura en abril de 2027. Esta nueva instalación ofrecerá un ambiente de trabajo más cómodo, moderno y eficiente para todos los empleados.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
