As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You’ll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you’ll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You’ll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. The DoD space is looking for individuals with exceptional software development, data engineering, or data science backgrounds who have done outstanding work utilizing tools such as Foundry, Spark, Python, Qlik, Tableau, and web development frameworks such as React. In short, we are seeking a “full-stack” data engineer who is passionate about building data applications from end to end. This includes data engineering back-ends to building interactive front-ends. For example, on of our offices is leading data analytics efforts of logistics data sets for the US Navy. Moreover, we strive to maintain the very best software and data development practices that our clients trust, we are hoping you pride yourself on writing production quality code and finding the story behind the data! You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to put together the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll work side by side with teammates in classified environments and own the development of analytics systems. You’ll use a variety of different tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into meaningful answers to advise our clients as they make informed decisions. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
